Let me say this once again.

You don't have the DoD specific SDK yet so you have all the dod material extracted to HL2/CSS material structure. It's not meant to be used like that.

I'd suggest you to wait till the SDK is released.

Well using texture filtering helps, I couldn't immagine looking for a texture without :P
I dont think you can take away the hl2 textures alltogether.

There is a Shared Source Materials gcf file which everyone has, and which contains materials which are used through out the different valve games. Those are the ones you will always see, even with the dod source sdk. Same thing with models.

Like Travis said, you can filter textures in material browser. Type in words like 'donner', 'anzio', 'flash' etc and you'll find some dod specific ones.

Hope it helps!

You can always exclude stuff from material browser :)

Just as a side note I'm pretty sure that DoD:S uses a lot of HL2 textures, there are a lot of nice ones that fit in perfectly. I mean grass is still grass, even after 60 years.

If you want to look at only the DoD:S textures then just type in 'dod' in the keyword-field (right underneath Filter in the texture browser). This will sort through all the loaded textures and only display the ones who has the correct keyword written in the .vtm file.
