Jed's thread looking for old 1.3 model zoos got me thinking. Are people out there still making maps for 1.3 and where are they going to release them since these forums have been taken over by source projects lately. Are they still going to be released here?

Also does anyone know what happened to 1dod? They had such a great huge archive of 1.3 maps. Its gone now. Its switched to Source. I know there's a lot of maps at the 907th but it was nice having 1dod too.

Our 1.3 server is still more popular than our Source server. In fact we may be adding more 1.3 servers. I still need maps and hope more new ones will still be made.


edit - Of course after I post this I see Haircut release an update to one of his 1.3 maps in the release section. :rolleyes: Glad to see 1.3 is still alive and kicking. :)

All the 1.3 maps should still be there.. We link a empty database for source (http://www.source.1dod.com/)... I'm not sure if were gonna have any support to upload source maps, but we will keep the domain and downloads.1dod.com for those that want to look at or rebuild an old map.

I usually just type in www.1dod.com but that takes you to the source site. I'm glad the database of 1.3 maps are still around.

I almost hate to give that link away, as it's my own personal treasure trove, but I figure the more traffic they see, the more likely it is to stay open.

Ugh i hate those sites that link around sites like Fileplanet or UGO n random other links leeching others bandwidth

And then sites that fill downloads full of their own crap like installers and txt files

At http://www.ilsgaming.com no ads, no installers, no txt fiels, no site advertisements, no broken links and Fast Download servers.

We do need to go through the downloads though we need to credit the creators of the maps on the page descriptions, the creators details are in the txt files inside the Compressed files though.
