Well, it's nothing that would win an Oscar but, I have been working on my own little version of the 101st. This is not a major break through or anything that would fit the "History Channels" Historic comparision.

It is just a simple reskin that I think some people will enjoy. It will be released sometime later this week.

don't know if this can be done buy just a reskin or if you would have to do a model, but the Airborne didn't use leggings but jumpboots.

and the helmetnet looks kinda of. it's to big and bright.

but hell i cant skin at all, so who am I to say anything..

Very very good. I like the reinforced elbows.

The helmet netting is a big turnoff though.

you need the reenforced pants too. and add a spade to the other side of the helmet.

maybe make then 327th Glider infantry they wore leggings like regular infantry units.

I believe the requires modeling and if so... I can not do that. I have edited the helmet to include the Spade on the other side and some what of a better helmet net. Also reenforced the pants as well.

Remember this is my first real attempt at making a skin. It is not perfect by any means but I put alot of time into it. I just simply wanted to make a skin that I like and I hope others will like it and decide to use it.

the netting on the helmet doesnt look right

I spent hours trying to get the net to line up just right in the back, but like Wile-E said.. why spend countless hous on something like that. I have yet to see a skin where the net lines up perfect.

Maybe on my next skin I just may do that but untill then, this will have to do.

arnt the trousers supposed to be the same color as the jacket? Atleast very similar colors. Considering its a paratrooper :P.

You think we will ever see an Airborne Model in the future since we can not add custom model ourselves?

Let me add... I know how the uniforms are to look, I just did this in the way I like... Just trying different textures and so on..

I do and will try to make a historic skin in the future... This was basically to see what I was capable of doing.

I was skining what I had in front of me... not really trying to change the skins yet.

I do however appreciate everyone comments good or bad.

101st Airborne Gliders did too use leggings, and the low boots, they also used double buckle boots. BUT they also used the m43 uniforms. That looks more like basic infantry except the jacket, i do like the re-enforced elbows.


And Icon slave - that's the m42's, which in the skins the paratroopers aren't wearing. (i dont know regular infantry uniforms)
