You could alter the textures maybe but you can alter the models or it wont let you join servers - so no skeleton/trenchcoat models will work I'm afraid.

Doesn't DoD:S still use hitboxes, though?

Well if the models are non-alterable, a good skinner out there can just carefully edit the skins :D

Yeah.. Devin Kryss let me turn his trenchcoats into Skullheads for "Old Time DoD".. Unfortunately, as the Great and Powerful Jed has mentioned custom models are a No-Go at this time.. :(

That works. Its just player models that dont.

Will they eventually open them up for custom models, or did MSA just get it's right leg cut off?

Its just a server variable as far as I know thats "on" by default.
Problem is, until theres custom player models that lots of players want to use, no-ones going to raise the issue with server admins so they can turn the consistency checks off. In fact, I doubt many even know it exists.
Likewise, because of the extra effort involved in making a player model for source, few modellers are willing to make models if they can't be used on servers.
So in a sense it cancelled each other out. :(

Ok, so we cant get custom models for this "yet" - but surely they can be skinned - some clever skinner can do it? Lots of black instead of transparency? Mainly its the heads and hands thats giving me the problem - uniforms is sommit i can do meslelf if nes.
