I was looking through some "old" folders on my PC of some of the work I did in the old days !

I came across this piccy of the Brit Pak that I created for its initial release, anyone else remember ??

I kinda thought it looked good so here it is...... (seeing as I might a well delete it now !)

I remember that pack, I tried it out for a few days and man gotta tell ya, i loved it! I think you should rerelease it with 1.0 with new animations and stuff, might be cool to have lurking around. :)

Oh yes I remember that Brit pack. The DoD team even announced it on the main page and told people to check it out. I DLed that on my old computer, but slowly replaced the models of it when I didn't like the British feel anymore. I still got a few p_ models that I never replaced on that computer.

My website needs a new host. Xrell (my nephew/webmaster) says he has one ready but we will wait until the release of DoD_v1.0 before uploading everything back.

As for how I got the Soldiers to pose in the pics above was simple :

1. I made the interior walls/chair/table etc in milkshape.
2. Imported the Soldier model/gun/ammo to that interior.
3. Positioned the Soldier where I wanted him and changed his stance.
4. exported the whole thing as a model.
5. Used HLMV to take a screenshot
6. Edited it in Paint Shop Pro.

Simple but effective. ;)

And im sure I have that Sten about somewhere - I PROMISE ill release it to work with V_1.0 !!

yep, this were released around 2.0. the then dodmod site even had an update and dl link for it.

i remembered dling that pack just for that leet sniper rifle.

The first one I ever did was the K98.

I think I have done at least 3 different versions/updates since the very first one.

I cant belive its been over two years since I first downloaded DoD !!

These got converted for 3.1 I think. i remember using them for ages, I loved them. The sound effect for the bren gun from that pack is the one I still use today lol Come to think ot it, I think I still use the bren from that pack too lol

I sure do remember this, you used my flag texture for this pack, which i must say i was pleased about.

I don't think you should release it again, but team up with me, Jed and poly instead......:) on the British Pack we are working on.

I have that pack sitting on my hard drive. If someone fancies it for whatever reason, I can host it.

the first IS kar98 u did was the best in my humble opinion.

I used that for a while glimpsharp, was some real good work!

Btw, what happened to your site? Is it down or permenantly removed? You had some awesome stuff. I still use ur Garand you made, but I'd like some of the other models you got. The mp44 and mp44 if possible.

even I remember it..because I started my dod "career" with 2.0 The Bren gun made my accuracy go down because of that mag :D

I have got a Sten Mk5 here, P and V models, but don't know who made them.
I was at the understanding that Glim/someone was going to re do the animations as they sucked

I remember admiring the poses. Unfortunately I have little interest in British paks so it's just a fleeting image in my mind.

I thought it was Glims's Mk5 - I've had it on my machine for ages and use it in my airborne pack pending a better one.

I did re-animate it though to hold the barrel correctly and to reload a bit better.

Actually, I think the first one was my favorite version. Or maybe it was the second. Well, either way the last time I used IS was during 1.3b. :(

That happened to me so many times, with nobody's 101st, thats why I dislike them so much.
