I decided to delete my last green camouflage soldier and make a new one.

Both are based on authentic german ww2 camouflage (http://camo.deepeeka.com/patterns.htm).

I know the snow soldier doenst fit very well on most maps (dod_kalt is not yet out :D )
but i thought i do it since nobody else has yet :)

Very nice. Eagle is supposed to be on sleeve. Yes, I know it will be on the other sleeve too... And why the Brigadefuher rank? There aren't supposed to be decals on the helmet, this is a camo cover. Plus, since DoD is in '44, there aren't supposed to decals anyway, as they were ordered to take them off. Wrong buckle. http://axishistory.com/index.php?id=4543

very nice, but the cammo pattern seems to be too small..

notice how the splinter cammo pattern has larger shapes in it.

your uniform cloth texture effect is way too over-exaggerated.

Id definately tone down the relief of the texture you applied to it.

A good start but it needs some work.

Things that stuck out in my mind:

- The SS didn't use the splinter pattern. They used the peadot and other types.
- Rank wasn't worn like that on camo uniforms.
- The splinter pattern is too small.
- That winter splinter camo is not real.
- Eagle would've been on left sleeve.
- Helmets, if using a cover, wouldn't have had the swastika/runes on them.
- The national tricolour shield was never on the Y-straps.
- The cut of the uniform was never in that style with camo jackets/tunics.
- The belt buckle is incorrect and looks kind of foolish. Reminds me of the DAF logo but I don't recall ever seeing it on a belt.

Have it go through another couple of revisions and it would look OK. Just my 2 cents. :)

The Luftwaffe field divisions and some units of the Wehrmacht used the splintercamo in several variations.
