Hey there all, I am starting to revive my old map that didn't quite make it to HL1 (so close...) so I'm sourcing it, but then I realised there are only about 7 snow textures in HL2, so rather then make it all blue sky and grassy ground like the DODS maps, I want to keep its authentiness. So anyone out there have some snow textures please? I also would like and building textures with snow on them, tudor ones specificaly if possible, I'm making a small german mountian village.

I would also be interested in any decent snow textures if they existed. I imagine that would be a great way for any texturer to get their work into some custom maps pretty quickly.

Posting what textures you need snow on providing, pictures, etc will probably get a better response.

If you zip up the textures that need snow , people can go 'hey, I'll give it a shot'

There is a fine art to requesting things sir, take it from someone who does all the time.

Well I heard kalt is going to be one of the next maps released, and if they keep it true to the original, there will be snow in that map. I just hope they dont make it like all the rest of the officials thus far, being all sunny and cheerful :rolleyes: Oh how I miss the rainy, dark and gloomy donner...

Looks nice. I ended up taking a snow texture from half life 2 and a dirt, concrete, and donner rubble texture and made them all alpha textures with the snow.

Just a question for the threadstarter: Why do you request something, but never answer again?

heh, Um didn't really have anything to respond to. I'm just going to wait for any new maps ie kalt and if I'm done that far before then maybe look into making my own textures...
Sorry I just thought that perhaps someone had already done some, I wasn't looking for any made for me thats why I put no specifications in.

I'm having the damnedest time finding a Tutorial for making textures with Source.

I went on a photoshoot this past spring, finding walls and dirt and everything for texes, now I don't know what to do with these files.
