High Resolution Flags

I was playing kind of bored earlier today, so I decided to make some higher resolution flags for DoD.

Allied Military Flag (http://www.applyclan.com/downloads/allieddefaultflag.jpg)
Allied American Flag (http://www.applyclan.com/downloads/alliednewflag.jpg)
Axis Iron Cross Flag (http://www.applyclan.com/downloads/axisdefaultflag.jpg)
Axis Nazi Battle Flag (http://www.applyclan.com/downloads/axisnewflag.jpg)
Neutral Flag (http://www.applyclan.com/downloads/neutralflag.jpg)

The flags are Felix's Day of Defeat 1.3 flags brightened up and modified (e.g. the circle around the star on the US flag, the Iron Cross, the flag pole top texture) by me, the flagpole is from the DoD:S British Flag (that flag texture is very high resolution for some reason), and the piece of cloth between the flag and the pole is from Dillinger's flag set. All of the maps are 512 by 512 versus the default 256 by 128.

Are there any changes that should be made prior to release?

They're awesome. I'm loving this high res stuff..

Is it possible for an Australian flag to be done?

Well, I made an Australian Flag, though I still need to put some more time into it. I think it's coming along quite nicely.

Will do. :) Unless any major problems or necessary changes arise, I'm shooting for tomorrow afternoon.

They look great, how about war-torn versions of each? :)

Sure. :D I need to learn how to do the transparency effect, but I would like to try it. Should the flags be war torn like the other DoD:S ones, or should they be torn in the same way Felix had them torn?

I've used the torn ones, but i don't have a good enough comp to see it all crisp. The ripped ones actually are hard to see anyway without full graphics render.

Leave them clean, someone will do a ripped version no doubt. :p

I use those in 1.3, can't wait for these. Looking mighty good.:)

Agreed. I think the clean, untattered flags look nicer. :) Looking good overall, Whale. I'd use them. :)

Maybe like in the flags in this model?

The neutral blank flag looks kinda sh**ty in that file mind you.

Can't wait for the release!

IMO they are way too bright, they look to be almost glowing in those screenshots

That is HDR on my computer (I boosted everything for the screenshots). At least for me, it is exceedingly bright and more things than just the flag appear to glow. Oh well. :)
