Looking for someone to build the map Assault in return to castle wolfenstein (RTCW), also some other good maps from that are Base, Barn, Beach Invasion. Also the latest maps on DOD-S are pretty :donrluvs::donrluvs::donrluvs::donrluvs:ty. People are making maps that are an almost flat serface and has a mountain view for background. DOD-S deserves better. Omaha_v1 is not to bad, but it is taken from HL2.

If anyone has the motivation to make Assault from return to castle wolfenstein please reply and i can get you some blue print.

The map is still out there in DoD 1.3

If you play RtCW multiplayer, you will be pretty happy with the look and feel of this map - in fact to be honest, its pretty much identical - and this was achieved using the HL1 engine!

The screenies are still downloadable from the topic links and so is the map.

The map was created to push the HL1 engine as far as it could go (which it did). Due to an engine limitation, there were no more clip nodes available before the whole map was completed, so changes were made to the lower bunker rooms, and a modification to the objective was necessary.

I'm currently working on a source version which will have the missing lower bunker rooms and the original wolfenstein objective gameplay.

Yeah dude, you did a terrific job on it, it was a great port, must have been extremely difficult to translate to the inferior hl1 engine.

I liked its faithfullness but dont forget to add your own touches eh?
