for a tiny red dot like the CAL xhair pack #15 or something, use:

cl_crosshair_file 3
cl_crosshair_red 255
cl_crosshair_green 0
cl_crosshair_blue 0
cl_crosshair_scale 4


in your config.

cl_crosshair_scale 3 gets a nice dot.

ingame the size doesn't actually change. i mean, it does until you quit out. for me anywho...

You mean it switches back to the default size? Do you happen to have the -dxlevel argument in your launch options?

sorry people. The one line gives you a nice big checkerboard for a crosshair!! It's:

cl_crosshair_file crosshair3

for the circle.
