Using ZHLT?

Hi, I "Installed" ZHLT, but now I dont know what to do. I made a test map(one of my first), and I'm messing around. I want to know how to compile it, pure and simple. The instructions included with the program are kind of confusing. I'm a noobie at programming, so please dont include any 1337 stuff. I have a few questions:
1) How do I set ZHLT up for Hammer Editor?
2) How do I compile a map using ZHLT?
If you guys have answers, or well written tutorials, I would gladly accept them. Thanks!

I suggest you download Nem's Batch Compiler

http://countermap.counter-strike.net/Nemesis/index.html

It is easier to set up and use than compling from within Hammer, and has good instructions on the site on how to set it up to with the assorted tools (ZHLT, for example).

I second that advice but if you want to sue hammer...

( ... indicates the rest of the directory)
replace .../qcsg.exe with .../hlcsg.exe
replace .../qbsp.exe with .../hlbsp.exe
replace .../qvis.exe with .../hlvis.exe
replace .../qrad.exe with .../hlrad.exe
hit OK and your done.

to compile its like compiling normaly.

this thread might help you out a bit.

Batching compiling makes compiling a whole lot easier and faster.

If you want to try the GUI compiler, I wrote a quick tutorial on getting started here:

Thanks for all the advice. I made a simple map-2 spawnpoints, 2 flags, and it is a box with a roof with texture SKY. Now, I have not done anything with ZHLT or anything yet, so this VHE is stock. I pressed F9(run) and it ran a little box, and looks like it went well. I went in dod, and created my own game, with my map. When loading, DoD just stopped, but didn't freeze. What can be the problem? I'm gonna put ZHLT in right away. I'm planning on using Nem's Batch Compiler.
