Compiling problem

Hi guys, I hope you can help me, I'm trying to locate the brush that cause the problem (leaf portals saw into leaf),
I have difficulties understanding what those numbers refer to.

Also when I run the game it keep crashing, I found out I have this problem:

PF_precache_model_l:sprite/effects debris_follage.spr' overflow

I search my files and that sprite doesn't exist, How can I fix this problem if the sprite doesn't exist???

The numbers should be the x/y/z coordinates in the map.


PF_precache_model_l:sprite/effects debris_follage.spr' overflow

You won't find it as it's probably a standard DoD file that is just required for the game to run, it's probably in a GCF file somewhere.

What you have done is added to much content to you map. You need to reduce the content.

Try grouping func_wall / func_illusionary together. A group of boxies for example or a couple of small hedgerow brushes next to each other.


NOTE: Model means "brush based entities / sound / model / sprite". Anything that the game engine requires to run the map.

Every time I have an error I go to Tommy14 for an explanation

but after a few hours of reading, try to fix and re-compiling I started to get confused

btw the map is for dod not dod:s

if the map run well and the gameplay is good I'll port it to the new engine
