REQ: Sniper Scopes

Could anyone make these popular sniper scopes for DoD:S?
Allied (http://dodec.hlgaming.com/images/allyscope.jpg)
Axis (http://dodec.hlgaming.com/images/axisscope.jpg)
If you can provide links to the original downloads, I can convert them over for you

Allied scope (http://www.edgefiles.com/file.x?id=/hlgaming.com/dodec/allyscope.zip)
Axis scope (http://www.edgefiles.com/file.x?id=/hlgaming.com/dodec/axisscope.zip)
Those are the links from http://dodec.hlgaming.com/ ... If the links don't work, you can always go in the most popular files (they have been downloaded like 12,000 times!)
I actually had these files already done. I just wanted to make sure that those were the ones I'd gotten done.
As with everything I've done, extract into the dod folder and it'll place them in the right place. I haven't used them, but a friend of mine does, and says they're ok... Let me know what you think of them...

They look good, here:

Could you remove the white dot in the center and adjust the middle "correctly" (make a dot or a real square)? And perhaps remove the lines in the grey areas, and make the sniper scope lines thinner? Then that would be great!
I'll see what I can do...
I just took another look through the scope files, and I cannot figure out what is causing those lines to appear. I also don't know what's causing the centre of the scope to appear like that. I'll keep looking, but if someone else wants to take a look I'd appreciate it...

Yeah that would be cool, because these scopes are very popular (and useful!)
in the axis, look at the scope_k43_ul.vtf
look at layer 1 (not channels) there is some white in the bottom right corner
and since you used the same base images for the allied scope, its in the scope_spring_ul.vtf file as well
it may look small, but remember, the image is scaled 200% in the y direction and over 200% in the x direction (if your running 1280x1024 res) so in game the tiny errors look much more significant

Scopes are made entirely in the alpha channel. Just switch to that channel and there ya go. White=opaque, black=translucent, shades of gray=various levels of translucency.

Do you need Photoshop or equivalent to create/edit .vtf files?

Cheers.
Is it possible to have an Axis inscope with left right and bottom lines hairthin (just like allied scope) with a tiny dot in the middle?

Hmm I'm sorry but they look exactly the same (except for the white dot)... Anyone can make them like the 1.3 ones?
the white dot was all i promised to fix
i dont know what they should look like by default since i only ever used my own crosshairs for DOD and DOD:S

I posted pictures in my first post as to how they should look like
god
thin lines are such a ***** to make cause of the way the devs overlapped and stretched the files
maybe i'll do it later

i think it looks fine, how come no one put it into release ?
i kept looking there because i miss them from 1.3, and i was going to post here in this section to see if any can make them,
i think the lines are ok, esp. now that the players move faster, i need a lot of practice on picking off running players, well thanks alot for making them, cant wait to try them tonight

Still no news?
yeah yeah, whenever someone asks im always busy and i always forget to do it later, give me 20 minutes
ok, all done, from scratch, by hand
should be no problems except for the "extra" lines that are not removable because of how the game was coded
the lines do NOT exist in the vtf files, they are drawn in by the game renderer for whatever reason i cant say
email me for a zip file, OR someone can host these

You can always use Megaupload (http://www.megaupload.com/)
yeah, except that requires even more time and effort
i give anyone permission to redistribute it, just dont claim them as your own (GPL license i guess lol)
