Help to change player model.

Hi
I have several question.
First, with gcfscape, i want to know if this directory contain the real player model : root\dod\materials\models\player\american and root\dod\materials\models\player\german ?
I think yes .....

After, i convert *.vtf file to *.tga file with VTFTool, i have only change eyes of player or a detail, i save it. Next i convert *.tga to *.vtf always with VTFtool.

Finally, I put my new *.vtf (with *.vmt file too) in folder : Steam\SteamApps\xx@hotmail.com\day of defeat source\dod\models\player\american or Steam\SteamApps\xx@hotmail.com\day of defeat source\dod\models\player\german.

The problem, i dont see the difference between real model and my model .. i would like to know where is the problem ?

i think they go into

email/dayofdefeatsource/dod/materials/models/player/german
same for american, except, american instead of german

ok thx it work. But the color is not the color i have define ...

I record ma *.tga in 24 bits/pxl, is it correct?

There is not a other way to create player model ? [ (*.vtf -> *.tga -> *.vtf) to (*.vtf -> *.bmp -> *.vtf) with other softawre .. ]
