When you mappers are doing your bombed out buildings, do you Make the Whole building first without the destruction, then when you're done Cut out the parts that are destroyed.

Or do you build the buildings like that from the get go?

Thanx in Advance

Setting up the whole building first is the easiest way, I'd say. Then clipping, displacing the edges and adding rubble models together with a displacement rubble pile. Decals for the final touch.

But be aware that this is not the best way to do it, when it comes to optimization. Has been discussed at Interlopers, so I just link to the according thread.

The first post describes what I said, but read the replies, especially the 2nd page. Gives some ideas for better brush use.

At the end it's up to you. Building the whole building prevents you from leaving out important parts and you can reuse clipped brushes for bigger rubble parts.

Yeah as you can see by my post at interlopers the best way to do it is one peice at a time from the ground up, it takes less time, looks better and is much more optimized
