Black models in Hammer

Hey there Im mapping with Sources hammer and I was just wondering if my models are meant to be black, its just annoying since the background is also black. Hammer 3.5 even had textures.

I have the same problem. Just go with it, it doesnt affect the outcome. I think it may have something to do with video card or something,

Sorry I would attach a ss but steam has died for everyone today and nothings running right. The skins of my models in Hammer are all black, ( models = prop_dynamic, static etc. world model) Its just annoying because I can't face them right, and loose them if I put them out into the void too far since they are the same colour as the background. I'm sure theres a simple fix somewhere I just can't find it.

In case your desktop color depth isn't already set to 32bit, try that.

Yeah it is 32 bit, but does that mean that you have textures on yours? I'm just wondering if this is just some feature that doesn't exist..

Yeah it's still a feature, they are supposed to be textured.

Whats your GPU? One of those old DX7 cards (e.g. GF2MX)? Maybe some realtime shader problems then. Or just a driver issue.

Yeah that is the problem thanks, Im using a GeForce4MX440 64mb. It should be able to handle it, I've messed around with the drivers a lot and thought I ironed all the bugs out so it probaly isn't that...

SDK still not going, but yeah that'd suck if it is a gfx issue... I have to use the model viewer all the time.
