Hey guys... i was planning on making you guys a set of bunkers for ready-use in your maps but I was wondering... Should I make 'm with brushes or completely model them?

Brushbased is the way to go in most cases.
A model would be more appropriate for a bunker in the background unused and out of reach for some detail in the distance, like a bunker further down the beach.

Cool. I'm thinking of completely texturing them too so they are reayd for use. The plan is making the as historically accurate as possible.
A friend of mine is an archeologist specialised in german bunkers and he'd be willing to help out.
I'm just wondering if people would be willing to use em. I'd make stuff from Torbuk pits till radar bunkers....

I'd use then for sure. I'd love some model bunkers for my 3d skybox when I get to that point. :)
Also if you're going to make model ones you might aswell make brush based ones and release those too.

Would surely make a nice contribution. Model Bunkers are perferct for 3D Skyboxes. Source doesn't lightmap Models, which makes them cheap to render. Downside is that the whole model is lit only by vertex normals without much shading. You'll have to work most of the lighting/shadows into the model textures.
Thanks to the 3D Skyboxes mappers are finally able to do endless beaches fading into distant fog. Awww Source is great... :o
BTW: Hammer is able to export your brushwork to dxf files. So if you make brush bunkers you can turn those into models. Probably the best way to do both, brush based and model bunkers.
