[REL]dod_thaw_b2 (kalt in spring?)

This is a map I put together, it's similar to kalt, but it's a summer type map. There are a few deviations from kalt such as the bridge is accessible from under the wheelhouse, lighting and some differences in overall gameplay. After a conversation one day with suicidehero about maps that have never really been updated or changed much I decided to put this together. Hopefully it's enjoyed. Here are some screens:

looks nice.

pic 2. the enterable building looks not as nice as the rest.
pic10. the black building is pug fugly

overall. i guess u could of made minor changes to the layout, but it seems as if its exactly the same (judging from pictures)

It has a destroyed roof on it. I was trying to make it look like a burned building, but clearly it doesn't fit the map, but I don't think I am going to re release another beta of this until its run for awhile, if thats the only thing that bugs folks then its not a big deal.

just ran around in it, the axis sniper building (after you blow a hole in it with a zooka) its very hard to get through that hole, even crouching. might want to fix that so you can just walk into there. didnt play as axis so i dunno about the other side.

other than that, its pretty good, except the sewers look a little odd, i like the look of the kalt sewers better. i dont think the blue lights and the odd pipe placement work well. the rest of the map looks nice though, and it obviously has a good layout ;)

all i have left to wonder is how you find so much time to map! lol.

Thank you for actually taking the time siron to dl the map and have a proper look before criticizing. Those points are well taken, and I appreciate the input. In light of the few odd things I will release b3 this morning, fix that house and change the sewer lighting, I agree, the lighting isn;t working too well. I will remove some of the random type piping and stick to what looks proper.

dont act all uptight. some of us dont always have time to go through a map instantly to give input. thats why we ask for pictures. dont complain.
and i suggest that u wait for a longer time period until u release again. to allow for more people to give their input, incase more bugs and issues come up.
if u didnt want to hear this, then maybe u shouldnt of posted here. after all, it was constructive...

oh, and btw, the link at justfungaming doesnt work for the map download.

Its all good neutrino, there is nothing wrong with constructive criticism, it's the point of posting here. What isn't necessary is parroting. And the points are well taken and well recieved, they are valid. I will agree with everything that was said. We ran this map on our server last night for 2 hours with no actual gameplay bugs or exploits, so I have repaired alot of the complaints and am re releasing it.
