i cant get my skins that i downloaded to work. How can i get them to work? I have the game installed into this file.
"My Computer/C:/SIERRA/Half-Life/dod"

And inside the "dod" file there are the folders named
"cl_dlls, classes, dlls, events, gfx, logos, manuel, maps, media, overviews, sound, sprites"

what folder should i put my skins into?

i want to use these skins.
canadians (http://www.wunderboy.org/3d_games/dod/airborne_2.php)

US (http://www.wunderboy.org/3d_games/dod/101st_airborne.php)

The folders aren't there already, you'll need to make them.

The zip's from my site should have the folder structure in them already so you'll just have to unzip it and copy the dod folder over to yours.

You put them in the OLD pre-Steam directory structure. You need to put them into the Steam one.

Your models (not skins) need to go into the models folder.

Weapons -- \models\

Player -- \models\player\<team>-inf and/or <team>-para according to the name of the model files you've downloaded, where <team> is "axis," "brit," or "us."

This is the best I can do for you without actually doing it for you.

Those are all the files from your models' zips. It's up to you to hunt them down and put them in the correct folder -- using the pic above as a reference. The axis ones you want have two different versions of the models so pick one. And if you don't wan't the custom sounds for the Sten and Bren, don't install the two .wav files.

Also, note that your American models are para models. That means those models will only show up on para maps -- dod_kraftstoff for example. Your Axis models are infantry models and will only show up on infantry maps -- dod_kalt for example. The Brits only have infantry models so will show up on all Brit maps.

Sorry to intrude but I am having trouble installing some weapon models. I put them into "C:/Program Files/Valve/Steam/SteamApps/myemail/day of defeat/dod/models/weapons" but for some reason they won't show up. The custom sounds they came with work great but the models themselves won't show. Does anyone know what I've done wrong?

/edit

Hehe disregard this, figured it out.

The DoD 1.2 folder structure. (It's the same as 1.3):
