I would like to know how to edit a deathmatch half-life map into a CTF dod map. I have ented and bsped. I would like to add some flags and even some weapons onto a couple of maps.
Are there any tutorials out there that can help me. Or do you have any ideas. If so I appreciate the help beforehand.

why not just remake it from scratch?
otherwise, I think you'll have to try to get in contact with the original authors somehow?

If it's a Valve original or packaged map you don't need the author's permission. It's nice to let them know, but Valve allows you to use "their" materials.

i'm trying to add weapons and ammo to allies and axis spawn. And place grenades in certain spots of the map to pick up.
Also I was looking to convert dust into a dod map but I see that's already been done so I'm not bothered with that now.

try bspview to fly around in the map to get the location grid numbers you need to place entities in the map, then use ripent to add the weapon of choice, faster to find a map that has the weapon init, use ripent to get the entity info from that map, and copy the info into your map ripent text file and then edit the grid to match the location you want, import the ripent info to it, and your done

Got it working, now I have a new problem. Once I capture all of the flags on allies the allies win song comes on then pauses on the same note, and won't reset. But when I play on the axis the axis win song comes on and the game resets like it's suppose to. What am I doing wrong here.

Sounds like you forgot the dod_score_ent for the allies?
