Saw
THIS (http://blog.johnsto.co.uk/?action=view&id=57.) the other week and finally got round to having a go, gives much better preview than lots of screenshots and it only a bit larger and a lot smaller than a movie of a map.

(200Kb Quicktime File, drag the mouse around to move)
Obligatory: This is not an official dod source map statement. Also the water is screwed up, its transparent ingame.

even without making the .mov file, it would be useful for making 360 degree screenshot panoramas, especially since not everyone can host .movs.
i had some problems with it though, i found out after i quit the game that it only saves one at a time, and i had to rotate the top tga 90 degrees in PSP. i think that might be because i followed the naming instructions in the readme instead of the link.
here's (http://www.edwards124.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/cs_alone.mov) my attempt anyway

Has/can anyone else get the older Half-life games to do this properly?
Using the envmap command by the way.
In the Steam version it says gl_envmapsize is incorrect, and I've tried to set that variable to anything from 8 to 512 in squared increments to no avail.
And when I tried a fresh oldschool Half-life install it sort of works, but the output .bmp files are empty. But in this case either allows the input, or says the gl_envmapsize command doesn't exist.

Nice. A couple of things though. I don't want to sound like a *****, but what are these tank obstacles doing in a trough that you cannot get into or out of in any vehicle but an all terrain bike? If I were an engineer, I'd put 'em in a road where I'd expect a lot of enemy vehicles. Also, that fountain connected with that open sewer thing. It all looks great, but it just doesn't make sense. You'd make me stand still and think: "WTF is going on here?!?", and then get shot ;)
Also, don't take this too seriously, because we've all seen what that leads to on these forums.
Keep up the good work!
