Hey guys
I ran into a problem integrating my model with the map that I'm trying to place it into. First off the model won't compile in the map as a prop_static only as a prop_dynamic. I'm not 100% sure of the difference, is it to do with an animation on the model or a physics box? The second issue is that when it compiles as a prop_dynamic it moves from its place like any other dynamic model. Even though the weight is 1500 lb for the prop model it moves a lot at the start. I think this is because I overlapped it into the walls to provide a seamless transition. This can be reduced but getting it perfect would be difficult.
My model is a staircase for the map dod_dijon by Furyo. It has a idle animation so that I can export it from milkshape. Can someone help me change it so that I can compile it as a prop_static.
Any help would be appreciated and I can provide any information needed easily.
