anyone know where i can find an X crosshair... but where the center of the X is there would be a dot, and the lines would be hoovering around it. the dot part would be for rifles, and the whole X part would be for automatic weapons, its really a good crosshair system if u think about. i dont know if theres anything like it around... someone wanna make it? i guess if no one wants to i could....blah *effort*

I think theres one out there, but can someone plz post a screenie of this x hair? can it be used for only one weapon, say the BAR?

GO to DOD/SPRITES/HUD.TXT and find this:

RENAME dodcross for BAR to DODCROSS4289718927 or Something
then save and rename THE dodcross to DODCROSS497217404792 and it will work.

and

Pokemart's (http://pokemart.dodhq.net/index.php?cat=sprites&page=cross) own assortment of crosshairs...

I personally use this crosshair (seen on the attached piccy). The dot allows for possible sniping with the garand or kar and the box let's me actually see the crosshair in a frantic CQC fight.

In the end it's personal tastes :)

how do i get this to work. I copied the file to my DoD/Sprites directory... and when i load up the game... i see no crosshair.

Unfortunately, you can't use this crosshair with DoD1.0 as far as I know. After 1.1 you should be able to, though.

I would totally use this, but I play OFP alot, and I would contsantly be hitting my optics key and I would die alot.
