Anyone going to remake cr44?
Would love to see one of the most popular custom maps created with all new look for 1.0
What're the chances? slim to none? or pretty good?

Anyone? It is the property of a single person/mapper. Not just anyone can remake it.
Ok, let me rephrase that:
Has anyone contacted the author and asked permission to re-do it?
(and ender, are you the guy who was on Crowbars of Justice DoD earlier whom said fsck the admins and was kicked shortly after? If yes, don't bring that attitude into our server again please, it was me who did the kick)

ahem, there is millions of "ender"s out there. I haven't played dod on a server since the day 1.0 came out, sorry to burst your bubble.
I get asked those types of questions all the time, I would change my name but i've been using it since 1.2 beta.

Go to their map sections and download cr44_b3, updated for v1.0
:p ;)
agreed there are millions of ender's out there, however, many don't seem to use all lower case lettering for their names as you have done.
Which is why i happened to ask, no offence meant, just wanted to clear it up in case you were that "ender".
"burst my bubble"??? thanks for the condescending attitude. Either a bad day or you don't like newcomers on this forum who ask questions when they've tried searching for answers before they post (such as myself).
on re reading this, it seems a little harsh in response. I should've made it more clear that if it wasn't you, then my apologies werre to be extended to yourself for making it sound like it was you.
So in response to my mistake:
My apologies if it wasn't you. There was no disrespect intended.

Schlampfe: that's just the 3.1 map. It works fine for 1.0, there's no updates on it as far as i could tell when i pulled it down from there when it was first put up.
Thanks for the link though, at least someone actually tried to offer help/info.

There was no attitude in that, it is merely a phrase.
Sorry to burst your bubble. Thanks for the analyst anyways.
;) I'm all smiles here.
see above, i edited my post, ;)
Plus the smiley made it a little easier to understand your line of post. It's too easy to take things the wrong way if the smiley isn't put in place sometimes.
raggy i dont think the moderators take it kindly when you try to pick fights with people, if you must do it through pm please
I'd also like to point out that nobody needs to contact the guy who made it to ask his permission, as he still maps and can do it himself.

This map has been around a little longer than 3.1 to be honest, as can be read in the readme ...

Important note:this is only the updated cr44_b2 for dodb2.
... dodb2 translating into DoD beta 2.0 , which means it's even older than that beta :)
If you wanna play the map make sure that you have the overlord.wad in your Half-Life/Valve folder.
