I don't know about anyone else, but I would really like someone to do a silenced colt. I don't think it would really suit the time of warfare, but I always wanted to whap out a stylish pistol and do some Bond style WW2 action.

Actually the OSS had a really cool alternative to a silenced Colt. They developed this metal arrow that you stuck into the barrel of a standard Colt. The fins would slide up as you pushed the shaft into the barrel, so when it was loaded you saw a Colt with what looked like a very short missle out the end of it. When you pulled the trigger it broke the seal on a chamber of compressed gas that forced the bolt (arrow) out of the gun and sent it flying. It was almost totally silent and was pretty wicked looking, though obviously not practical for anything other than an assanination.

Silenced weapons were used, not commonly at all tho, And correct me if imwrong but it was pretty much only sidearms. Some SS officers had silenced lugers, and same with our special forces. Just rarely tho.

Yah. This kind of goes off topic. I didn't really ask anyone to explain, I was just wondering if someone would make a silenced colt.
Thx

I vaguely remember someone working on some silenced weapons on the old forums. Maybe that person will come back around or I'm completely wrong.

Silenced grease guns in Vietnam....only WWII weapon I remember reading about with a silencer...not to say there wasn't, I'm no library.
