Kind of wondered if there where any tools out there that can parse a map file and list all the textures used?

I have a program that extracts textures from a bsp file that used -nowadinclude. Puts them in a nice ol wad.
Very helpful for finding all the textures you used or just getting a wad together.
I would be very interested in getting my hands on this program. How big is it? If its not too big (I'm assuming its probably pretty small) would you mind emailing it to me at bjj4494@rit.edu?

textract - 6kb :D
This is very much frowned upon by almost every mapper or texture person that uses their own wads. It was embedded into the map for a reason, most likely so people wouldnt take the wads. For instance, kamikazi is very "protective" of his wads.

yeah you should always ask permission without going anywhere near other peoples work to use for your own :)

Except we can edit all of kami's textures now and use them for whatever map/mod we want.

Well, that pretty much don't even apply for the dod custom mappers. 95% of the textures anyone uses their custom dod maps are from public wads as it is. The only custom map that I can think of that has non-public textures is bridge2 by IR.
Kami's textures are allowed to be edited along with every texture in dod now.

I think most of us also only want this program for our own personal use. My current project for example samples textures from 8 different public wads, this provides an easy way to get them all into one wad.
