.. The main wood party is really messed up.. the mesh stretches it quite a bit :o The metal too lacks small detail. Don't mind the texture misalignments.. can't quite seem to compile it w/o cropping (comes up with "unknown studio command" when trying Jed's little trick)

Quite nice, I like it quite a bit. Other than those faults that you yourself pointed out, it's a very solid looking model you have there.

it's the default DoD model, unless I'm mistaken. as far as I can tell, he's just reskining it.

Very nice job, aside from the previous comments, I would recommend you add some more lighting definition to the back metal parts (where it's stamped w/ "Springfield Armory" etc). Right now the texture kind of blends together and there isn't much definition to the edges.
Hot skin, I love it.

It could use some work that I can't help on b/c I'm far from even a novice with this modeling/texturing thing, but even in it's current state I'd use it provided it had some kick-ass anims. :D
