I've got a question...
First off, great work.. awesome skins.. i think they are the most detailed i've seen yet for v1.0...
When i downloaded them there are 3 folders.. 2 of them have axis models.. that means that i only can use "1" or the other? (the pictures on the other forum, will i see those diff skins on diff guys in a game, or do i have to switch to either ALL of them 1 skin ??)
I hope that made sense...
In short, can i have different classes have different skins :)

Well, you notice the folders are called axis-helemt and axis-m43cap (or something along those lines)
The folder with helmet in its title has the unteroffizer (the guy with an mp40) wearing a normal helmet. If you want to see him wearing a helemt, put that model in your dod directory.
If you prefer your Unteroffizeir to wear the M43 cap (like the cap the default axis model wears), than put the axis-inf models from the M43cap folder in your dod directory.

I dont see this guy in folders thru HLMV viewer.. http://http://www.dodstudios.net/uploads/uploads/axis-SSv4-mp40.jpg I go to the folder C:\ssv4\SSv4-M43cap but all i see is the guy from C:\ssv4\SSv4-Helmet (weird aint it?)

Your not using a wrong HLMV, your using a HLMV wrong.
Open the model. Go to the 'body' tab at the bottom. Look to the right of the pulldown bar 'body'. You can scroll through submodels 1 through 6, which are each of the six classes pictured above. (Sniper, k43, etc.)
And before you ask why one of them has no head, I suggest you pull down the bar labeled 'body' and move it to 'head'. Scroll throught the head submodels till you see the Machine Gunner's head and bullet chain show up.

Plan on releasing one, most certainly yes.
It was in the works during 3.1. Work was halted by me when v1.0 came out. Russ decided to dump the projects, and I was inclined to do so also, after we learned about these submodeled models.
But if its possible to update SSv3 to 1.0, than i should think it very possible that our Ranger pack will go just as smoothly.
Yes, you can expect a future release of a very very high quality Ranger model set from us in the future. Unless one of us dies. Or my computer exploded. Or i fire a nail gun at my hard drive. Or Russ's house burns to the ground. Or he gets both his hands cut off in a blender accident. Or he gets in a car wreck and is left with the mind of a vegetable. Or my loan shark gouges out my eyes...
Now that I think about, any number of the above could bring the project to a standstill, Pray the above dont ever happen.

heya devin sweet models....one problem im having...im using the helmet axis-inf and the m43 axis-infT....and the mgers have no camo or belts on them...and the mp44 guy has a weird black face...any ideas?

except....
...the SS didn't wear the eagle holding the swastika on the right breast. It was only on the sleeve.
Fix that and you've got the best Axis skins out.
That problem should be addressed!

Ahh...., but I installed Vandori's sleeves(all Camo patterns) for his player models, and I'm not sure if I saved the defaults . I may have though, I need to check.

Praetorian, thats why its fuxked up, cause you mixed and matched .mdls. A mdl is jsut the wireframe and mesh, and when it has a Tmdl, that Tmdl has all the textures in it. So, the Tmdl you through in ahs an extra bmp that the mdl doesnt need, and its borked.
Use one set or the other, dont mix them up.

Are those some of E&C's bits of gear I see there?
You may want to consider using different boots. The texture on those is getting a little posterized, it seems...
Devin could you release the weapons p-models you are using with your models, I think the combination of the two looks awsome...

Thanks guys. I dont know why, but I think this thread seems to be dropping a bit, makes me regret not putting MREL in the title.
But as for the P models. A couple of things. I will release them as I release the V modle that accompanies each one. But there are a few issues.
First, the K98 and K98HT. That IS Ls3's Bolt with Polygon's skin, and its Polygon's skin on the wood, but its not Ls3's wood model. I always hated that part of his model. It was the worst, not to mention its mesh was split in half, and you could see that line where the two met. I've got matching V models, and W models, and I would release now, but Klown is working up animations, so I'll wait for him to finsih, and then you have 2 sets of animations to pick from when using these guns.
As for that STG44, that was a hack I made in 3.1, using Ajjer62nd's stock skin, and the rest came off that nice high polygon STG44 that was released, and I had to make new P models, cause the ones released were as half-assed as could be. I just didnt released it. I sent the V model to NrvsYet, he's gonna throw it in his pack, and he did something to the skin, so I'll ask him If he minds releasing. If he says no, I'll hafta give you my version without the retinted skin, or I can retint it myself.

well, my eye fell out the other day. but the other one is just fine, so i can work on the project no prob.
i know its kinda late, but yeah now that ive seen devins SSv4, and how they work, im pretty sure that the ranger pack will continue. and possibly with some upgrades, cuz some of the default stuff aint that bad. so you guys can count on the ranger pack, just need to get our shiat together. :)

You could always use paint to copy the top grey helmet onto the bottom part.
are you going to fix the helmet gib you shot in head and knock helmet off but the dudes still got an helmet on just a little bug can it be fixxed

Its not a bug, its intentional.
The default axis guys have only TWO headgear submodels. A helemt, and a hat. Everyone but the Medium and SNiper wears the helmet. I ahve 3 head gear accesories to wear. Helmet, CAmo Helmet, and a hat. So, if i'd set the hat where its supposed to be, thne the sniper would wear a hat, and not the camo helemt. So, i didnt use that submodel stuff, I just attached all headgear to heads, so it cant fly off.
