Well, my hunt for a skin model has brought me to the place that should have been my first digging grounds instead of my second-to-last. To avoid any copyright infrictions I am going to supply a picture only outside of these forums, you can get me on AIM, MSN, or Skype to see what I'm looking for.

In short without supplying the picture, I am in search of a garand model that has lighter wood, (Not bleached wood though) with an aged look to it. The metal texture I would love to see a little banged up and used looking but not OLD.

Thanks to anyone that puts me in the right direction!

I'm guessing your talking about the BIA M1.

Posting a picture from another game isn't a problem is it mods?

Nope. As long as its to illustrate something and that the original image isnt copyright.

Posting the textures from the game however is not ok.

Thanks for clearing that up guys, I just didn't think that breaking any rules my first post around is the way to make a good impression.

This picture (Though edited just a tad) is still belonging to a copyrighted game, the image itself is not copyrighted..(Unless the makers of the game forbid screenshots taken and given among friends)

That is the color wood I'm looking for and as I said, anything as close to this as can be found would be ideal.

Umm, use the colour picker in photoshop and take it from the JPEG?

You can also achieve a similar looking wood texture by taking one of Splinters Hi-Res models and applying the gaussian blur filter to the textures with a setting of about 32.

Well, I tried my own hand at this thing and found a way to lighten up the wood...Not a lot, and I didn't actually sit down and work on it like I should have but this is my first throw together.
