wierd model problem

I am trying to trigger a flyover by the stang.mdl. problem is that it doesn't show up in the map for some reason. I copied all of the entities over to a test map and everything works just fine with no changes

is there something else that could be causing the model not to sequence. I'm not even sure that the model is being called. in my test map I can see the plane sitting there off in the distance before it sequences. its not there at all in my main map.

*edit1*

little more info. ok, the model is there. when in spectator mode, you know how if you go inside of some brushes everything disappears except for the models? well when I do that and look where the plane is supposed to be, I can see it. thing is that the start position of the model is on the map, so you should be able to see it just sitting there, if you know where to look. I also can see that the model is sequencing because if I activate it, then go back and look where it was, it is gone. of course that means it should be sitting at the other end of its flight path (which it is in the test map), but its not there either. its like when it is supposed to sequence, it just shuts off and disappears.

*edit2*

ok, one more thought. the stang model flightpath goes the whole length of the map, and the origin is in the middle which is vis blocked from where I am when I activate it, could that be the problem? maybe its working just fine, but I can't see it from where I stand?

*edit3*

you ever just beat your head against a wall all day, just for fun? ...I just turned on noclip, sequenced the model, shot over to where the origin was and presto! the model flew over just fine

soooo, is there a way to get the model to not be vis blocked?

god, I hope this thread helps somebody in the future

BTW, I left all of my rambling thoughts in here in the hopes that it will help someone else later...my stupidity = your lesson

No offense, but you type the way people talk. I'm having difficulty understanding what you're trying to say, but I will say this first: use the edit button when you have something to add to your original post.
