Looked around on a few sites, couldn't really find any super basic tutorials on using Hammer. I was just wondering if anyone has one? Or should I just read the instructions that came with Hammer?

I really want to add some models to fool around with, as I've just got Hammer set up....

there are also a lot of good links there.

afa placing models goes, just place an env_model entity then edit the properties-->model name to whatever you want to place.

and if you want some of the base models that come with dod you will need to get CFGScape (google it) and open the day of defeat.cfg file and extract all the models from there (mapmodels)

And an easy box map for source (same thing except models) is right here. Tell me if file works, it's in PDF format

Heh, thanks guys. I need to learn about tools and other basic stuff, too, so I'll also try the manual. :)

I've already gotten GCFScape, as well as zoners custom build...(I used mardymouse to set up hammer:p )

I'm still looking for that box map guide........

ok, I found it. It's in PDF, where should i host and what tags should i use?
