Wanted to do something unique for a US SMG other than "HOMG ANOTHER THOMPSON"
United Defense M42 Submachinegun - 9mm. Used by US OSS Operators and other Clandestine or US allied partisan units behind enemy lines. Beloved for it's mechanical ruggedness and simplicity, the UD-M42 was very popular among special operations groups.

Would really appreciate it if anyone volunteered to UV Map it and possibly get a skinner for it.

How different is the M42 from the Owen's SMG?

the owens in my pic is top feed magazine, but I am sure it is moveable.

Just wondering if there is any relations?

the owen's feed is strictly top-down, and I doubt that the owen had a part to play in the UD42's design.

the only thing they have in common is that they both fire the 9mm NATO round. thats it.

the owen was a mix between the sten and the german mp40.

I believe you're thinking of 9mm Parabellum, there is no 9mm NATO round. :p

This gun has been attempted many times before throughout DoD's history but no one has had the dedication to run with it the whole way, hope you finish this mate.
