Compiler settings for hammer for dod

i need dod compiler settings for dod

batch compiler will not work!!!!
where get zhlt gui

or WHERE IS A GOOD NON BATCH BASED COMPILER

i have zhlt and new hammer

ive made pleanty of cs maps just need the settings for new day of defeat

NEVER USE THE COMPILER IN VHE, if thats what you mean

ONLY use Batch compiler by Nemisis, its the only way to go

Only use batch compiler for final compiles

VHE is better for testing your map

But always use zhlt

I always say this and I'll say it again. There ain't anything wrong with using Hammer to compile with. It does anything the Batch compilers can do.

Saying that is is much more difficullt to setup then the Batch compilers, I suggest you use them.

It takes MUCH longer to compile in hammer- don't do it.

I use Zoners Half Life Tools (cuz its easy 2 understand :) )

Guys I need help with the compiling process as well. I set up zoners tools (like ive done before) but when I click compile hammer shuts down.. however, I did manage to get it to compile the entire map once... it will no longer compile for this 1 map im working on (took me 15 hours to build it) Its a larger map but id like to trim it down... I had only 1 leak in the map but fixed that up.. alls I have in the map are 2 spawns, player_start, and observer... Ive tried compiling my older maps... and that works... ive tried copy/paste new (didnt work) I also cut the map in half and then into a quarter and tried to compile each time but still no luck.

I dont want to abandon this map pls help... any info would help at this point....

Export the map to *.map format.
CLOSE hammer
Run ZHLT compile GUI
Compile the *******.

Be patient compiling takes HOURS.

EDIT: By the way u need at least 16 allied and 16 axis spawns for the map to even load in DOD otherwise it fuxors up!

This should be the first thing new mappers read. NEVER EVER compile with Hammer! Use Nems Batch Compiler, or ZHLT GUI to do all of your compiling now, and forever!

Did I say that I that I don't use Zoner's tools ... no :rolleyes: I think you must be talking about some batch compiler or summit :rolleyes:

And I refer you back to my first post.
