Using Dillingers green heer set, and Flammenwerfer's FJ set's Textures. I have made a set so that for those that want it. Can have FJ as their normal axis models ( a straight copy and paste doesnt work i tried it make em go all transparent in places)

so if I have the permission of the aforementioned people I shall release.

there will be a private release for the clan i play with because we're an FJ regiment clan. but if i get permission i will do a public release.

Fallschirmjager didn't wear the normal helmets of the army, change those and you'll be on your way. They didn't use the M-43 caps, either.

Good beginning, hope to see more.

If you need a host, I will be glad to help.

Just to clear up, I didn't make the models, those are the default models made by the DoD team, I just did the texture reskin for the green and I think that's the FJ helmet texture I used in my FJ pack.

But I have no modelling skills at all haha

Actually, most Falshirmjager prefered the standard helmets to the para type, because it provided more protection. Many traded their para helmets for the standard style if they could. Also, I do believe that I've seen Falshirmjager with the field caps.

Dryfear, this isnt my first release ;) i said this is a quick easy edit, ive been skinning since beta 1 hehe, and i know the standard helmets were different, and yes they did prefer the better proteciton of the heer helmets. and thanks for the host options guys ill do them in a bit, so u guys can get ure hands on em.

btw im gonna bump my greasegun release because the animations fit with the new greasegun, so if any of u liked the black greasegun it'll be on the 1st page again shortly.

1. Not wearing jump pants
2. Not wearing a jump smock
3. Not wearing jump boots
4. The aforementioned lack of a proper helmet. Of course, in all the pictures of FJs I have seen, 90% of them were wearing FJ helmets.

look if u dont like it dont download it, but itll do for those that do like it until someone does a better one as im sure someone will eventualy. i did it for me, as i do all my skins for ME, but i chose to release because SOME people like them and it makes some people happy. if u dont like it dont post and dont download it.

couldn't you make the current helmet look like an fj helmet usign transparency?

Im not skinner or modeler but its just a thought

that is actualy a stonking idea! :D ill look into it! very good point, if so it could eliviate the need for skinners to ask modelers to make minor alterations!

That would probably take as much work as just replacing it with the fj helmet, since it would require recompiling to get the transparency to work.

Replacing the axis infantry with the actual models from the fj wouldn't be that hard, all it would take is to replace the proper smd,s from the fj model to fit into the infantry model. If anyone's interested, I could probably look into it and give all the proper steps.

Show me some pictures then, because I've never seen them. I'm always interested in new Luftwaffe pictures.

.

I'm glad it's not your first release, we need all the modelers we can get, and I'm greatful for your additions to the community. I wasn't bashing you, my friend, merely giving you advice. The Luftwaffe, and particulary the Fallschirmjager, HG Panzer Division, and the Luftwaffe field divisions, are of great interest to me, and I was merely giving suggestions.

However, again, I've never seen Fallschirmjager wearing regular Heer helmets. The Luftwaffe field divisions were outfitted with regular Heer helmets, and that may be what is confusing some of you.

I'll refrain from any suggestions to you in the future. :D Good job, and good luck.
