Cross posting from the Milkshape 3D forums (and pimping as I wrote some of the new feature code for it :D )

MilkShape 3D 1.7.3 released!
-- Monday, Jan 24 2005

This version fixes an annoying problem with graphic drivers, that don't support context sharing. When you had problems with invisible textures, then this version is for you. Then it supports the Half-Life 2 SMD format, but just with one weight per vertex. Half-Life 2 VTF texture support is also available, thanks to Jed! Another feature is commenting groups, materials and joints. You can use that for example to set custom properties.

* Mesa 6.2.1 compatibility, optionally enable/disable wglShareLists
* fixed problem with background image textures
* Half-Life 2 VTF texture support, thanks to Jed for the VTF extractor!
* Half-Life 2 SMD support (just 1 vertex weight supported)
* increased decimal places for HL1/HL2 SMD
* KF2 _mov files with vertical/horizontal movement only
* commenting groups, materials and joints is now supported
* comment support for SDK
* updated MS3D ASCII importer/exporter
* fixed 3DS importer/exporter
* fixed a bug in the Wavefront OBJ importer
* Wavefront OBJ import now supports negative indices
* minor bug fixes

Good Job Jed! Does this mean that you get a small share of money when someone buys milkshape? Or was this a freetime for the community thing were you just bask in the grandeur of doing something kool.

Well Mete did give me a small donation for some of the other plugins that are now standard with Milkshape now (I think I have 3 in there now) but this was done for free - if Mete decides to pay me thats up to him.

All my utils are free - people just donate if they feel they want to say thanks.
