Is converting models from the Free RTCW an IP Violation?

Since the next Rtcw will be given away for free, is it an IP violation to Convert some of the models to use with DoD?

Yeah, but i dont think its an IP violation if you post the pics on here. As long as you don't release them on here it should be ok.

what are u talking about - rtcw, only rtcw i know is return to castle wolfenstein!
There is a new rtcw that is out, I believe the initials are ET. And yes it would be a IP violation, however, like someone pointed out, if you post the pictures it wont, just dont release here. :D
Its "Return To Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory" it'll be a free game and theres curently a map test available. Its a real cool game, with covert ops, mortar, mobile mgs etc.

They're letting you use the software for free, but that in no way concedes any rights to the intellectual property.
We don't want to see announcements of ripped models or skins on these forums. Even if you're not releasing them, we'd prefer if you don't use this forum for such purposes. I'm sure Id wouldn't look to kindly on Valve's implicit endorsement of use of their property.
