Probably because of the inevitable moronic commentary.

Nice work Splinter. Your animations keep getting better. I also like the recent trend of including sounds with the models. My only complaint is that the rebolt animation seems a bit slow but that's just personal preference.

Yay for no more springfield *****ing!

My only complaint is the left hand is too small.. but that was always a problem with the default spring.. also not not fixable

Looks good, except for where you can see through the model at the end of the scope. Skin looks great though.

No, it isn't. Play it in kalt and you'll see:

But, again, it's not unfixable to someone who knows what he's doing.

Excellent job Splinter, my only complaint is not being able to make a reskin that comes even close to yours (because I suck, and because your so good :O)

apart from the scope, the p_models, and the FOV job (which you don't seem to good at doing, honestly), this is a very good Springfield. :)

Instead of talking down someone who gives the community a lump sum of models, just don't use his model if you don't prefer how he did the p models, or animations, or what have you. Why would you tell someone that they did bad work? For one, that is entirely your opinion, and second, it's plain rude and inconsidorate, especially since you have the option of not using it at all if you dislike it. "which you don't seem to good at doing, honestly," come on, why would that even go through your brain to flat-out tell the guy? Personally, I don't prefer the scope, I put MaRzY's hi-poly scope on in Milkshape manually, but does that mean his scope is bad? Not at all. I also find that all his p models are perfectly fine; this one isn't aligned perfectly, but haven't you also come to notice that Splinter has released countless later versions of weapons? Anywhere did he say that this was his final and last Springfield he will ever make? He made 4 versions of Kar models for heck's sake, with each one getting better and fixing bugs he found.

Basically, my point is that this is fantastic work and there is really, honestly, and in all reality, absolutely no point whatsoever to belittle Splinters ungodly work. He's doing this for free, taking time out of his own life, and letting people partake in the usage of his fantastic models. And you don't have to use them. That's the greatest part about the modding community; if you don't like something, you don't have to :hamster::hamster::hamster::hamster: all over it, you can just avoid it.

Makabi Gafera, sorry if you feel targeted. I'm in no way pitting this on you, I'm pointing something you said out, and how I've noticed a trend among various people who feel the necessity to give unnecessary negative feedback on something that hasn't been declared final, and could easily be modified without all the unconstructive criticism.

Do all your threads end up like this, with a lecture about criticism?

Do what you feel in your heart to be right, for you'll be criticized anyway.

Freedom of speach.
If people don't like your work they can just say they don't like it... cause they just don't.
And they are allowed to say they don't like it because a b c

You can like it or not but honestly, it's your own problem.

Only in the dod forums ? yeah maybe... i didn't see a sign the puppet club when i joined.

DoD already have models, the dev team made them... people who post their works here should thank the people who download their works and comment (for good and bad, that way you can improve your work or enjoy the idea other people are using it) and also the people who browse this forum should thank those who take their time to release and enhance their game.

I stoped taking requests, when i worked a little here i posted WIP threads, listened to people's opinion, if i agree with them then i change my work and if i don't then i just hear another opinion and keep on with my plans, if you are pleased with your work you can just state you are pleased with the final release and that's how it will be and if people still "whine" (or however you want to see it) that's not your goddamn problem and if you want to play the 10 y/o offended kid, go ahead.

I have no respect for people who delete their own threads because the replies are not OMG SEX, Kids NOW!

People are allowed to reply however they want unless they flame or curse and for that you have MODs.
Everyone who release, release for free.

Im sure everybody in this fourm thanks Jed, marzy and dillinger and brutal and splinter and rotzbua and polygon and trigger and and and and...
and Everyone here knows he DOESN'T Have to use custom models.
Just like people take their time and work for free, people take their own time and reply for free on the posted work and it's their right to write whatever they want, they can ask for P/W models, they can say it's ugly and they can also say they like it.
If somebody have a problem with that then he can open a site and upload his works without a forum and without an option to reply.

But this is a Forum and in a forum people discuss and that is what this place is all about, to release and also to talk about the release if people want to.

If anybody have a problem with that he shouldn't open threads and if someone here is being an ******* or flame report for a MOD he will deal with him.

I can see how you're offended by that since you posted it the thread aswell, but were you conscious about the other's post?
"Ok thats good now do this!"...."Do the blahblahblah next!"

Yes im sure you to will get tired by that same comment every damn time you would release. If i had the power to delete other people's post i wouldn't have deleted the thread and kept posts such as yours Mortar.

Let the thread die, it's over.

OMG SEX, Kids NOW!

and no, that's not the kind of posts that i want in my threads. If it's your own theory so be it but no. Posts that i look for are constructive posts such "yeah fix the p & w models next time because A:" "Or yeah the scope is a tad long shortern it a bit next time will ya" "This is that is a wrong colour, here's a website for a good reference" But sadly i only get 2 or 3 of those types in my threads, the rest are like you said "OMG SEX, Kids NOW" or the usual " Yeah that's great now do this" crap posts.

Is it wrong to ask something back from the community or have a community act like a real community instead of having them post whatever crap comes out of their sh*t mind just for the hell of it.

Lt.Hitman is right, this isn't my last springfield that i'll ever do, hell i made 4 other kars for crying out loud. Ok so i release this, wait for replies (contructive replies) ok so i did this wrong and that wrong, oh well V2.

Hell, iv'e only posted three times in this thread, the first was obviously the release and this, but you still percieve me as the "**** you i don't care i won't put up with this sh*t person while all i've done was release something. Your judging my by replying to the other people that "defend" my work.

I think that alot of people don't understand how personal the work is for the creator.

If you want to critique somebodies work write down your comments and only post them a day later after looking at them again and thinking how would I feel if somebody wrote this to me ? It's a good rule for sorting out any unneeded language and emotions in communication.

im not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but i get a whacked out gun position when seeing an enemy sniper with this, or on death cam, i know of this bug with other sniper rifles for allies aswell, it might be from an old model i hd, not sure, but i will verrify and post back.
