Short and sweet, MDL Texture Info will tell you what textures a model is using and what folders its looking for them in. Its as simple as that.

Just install the EXE in your source_sdk\bin folder and drag/drop a MDL file onto in (or create a shortcut to it and drop it on that). It'll open a window with the info in.

You don't need steam running to use it but you must put it in the bin folder or it wont find the DLL files its needs.

Use it if you want to know what texture the model uses or where your newly compiled model is trying to find its textures.

Thank you...

Is it ok for one man to say "I love you" in a totally non-sexual platonic way?

Keep the tools coming Jed... Valve isn't...

LOL. Your welcome.

I sympathise. Pretty much all my stuff is driven by my own need for the things I write. That and seeing the same 1000 threads in forums making it obvious the tool is needed.

Neccesity is the mother of all invention. And man she's one angry mother...
