[MREQ] First Special Service Force [Devil's Brigade] for the Allies

I was just wondering if anyone was up to putting the Devil's Brigade patch on the Allies shoulders. The image is attached.

In case your wondering who they are, the Devil's Brigade was a special unit consisting of American, Canadian and British troops. They did thier training all over the place, in different countries and such. They fought in both Europe and the Pacific. For a more detailed description:http://www.execulink.com/~kiska/FSSFHomepage.index.html

They wore and used American equipment, although they used Johnson weapons(?) as well, which I don't know anything about.

I just thought it would be a nice compromise between all the Americans/Canadians/British/Other people here, who want to see thier country represented.

Although, it would also be neat to have new player models with them as well. It would be nice to see a more casual battle atire for a change. Rolled up sleeves, unbuttoned shirt, wedge hat, whatever. Thats just a personal preference.

Just an idea though.. all I really want/need is the patch.

Be great if someone could help me out on this.

Here's something I whipped up in a few minutes, just attached the patch to the default texture. Import using hlmv

i thought the FSSF was strictly canadian and american, i was unaware that brits were in it too. i know that the 1st airborne task force was a brit/american unit, but i didn't know there was a yank/canuck/limey unit anywhere during WWII.

According to my dad, whose uncle was in it, there were some brits.

isnt there a film on the devils bridage where they "sneak" a whole company up the side of a sheer cliff face, and take out entire towns with knifes and tommie guns in the process?

Well About this FSSF model, I can help you design one, as I reenact the Devils brigade, and first off, they don't wear the standard infantry outfit, they wore paratrooper webbing and mainly M43 Jackets, M41 Jump Boots, and either wool or mountain trousers.

Oh and POD, that movie wasn't really accurate at all about the force, but they were pretty well trained, paratroopers and then special forces, you needed to be a tripple volunteer to be in the force in the firstplace.

I liked the part where they captured an entire brigade of germans, without killing anyone or losing anyone. I doubt thats to accurate, but thats hollywood.

So yah, I'm working on my pack, but seeing as how its my first, it isn't that great. Do you have any sites with pictures? I can't find any, they seem to be rather elusive.

I am currently working on one...

Based on the Para Model...

I added a more detailed decal to the back of the helmet, made the helmet darker to match, and I'll also put a brighter decal on the sleeve. Besides that, I'm hopeless. But I might try to edit the default colors. That light brown or whatever it is, its just fugly.

Yah? I just assumed it was blown out of proportions. You know, being hollywood and such.

The look on the german commanders face was priceless, when they paraded his entire battalion, in thier undwear or naked, in front of his mansion.
