I'm new to mapping in DOD but I've had quite a bit of experience game modifying and customization so I do retain a somewhat professional approach. Anyhow, just had a couple questions on the functionality of certain entities.
I've set up a func_tank with controllable flagged (with appropriate trigger/clipping/barrel angle). But whenever I use it in testing, the successful 'use' sound effect goes off and my gun is lowered but then immediately comes back up subsequently preventing use of the func_tank. I was just wondering if this feature was somehow disabled. ( I later messed around with my FGD but to no avail).
I also asked, in the Q&A tutorials section, about monster entities. I can't seem to get the monster_grunts to show up at all (monster_generic works, had to add it to my FGD though) and the monsters always clip at the grounding plane (which on the newer dod models is through the midsection). The monsters also gib the v_bazooka.mdl sprite whenever they're hit (which gets messy). Just wanted to know if I could get any functionality out of these guys (heh, I know they aren't exactly meant to be functional in an interactive way).
I also wanted to know if dod_trigger_sandbag would function if it 'moves with' a func_train (I have major doubts so I thought I'd ask first).
