Those models look right at home in Source.

They seem to have developed a hunchback in the conversion to CS:S and they also look a little small, especially in the first picture.

Well their rigged to the default source skeleton which is a little shorter than the DoD one but their not that small. I guess its just the perspective thats doing it.

Their not that good - All I did was bend my models to fit the source skeleton and around the joints the distortion is pretty horrendous as some angles. Really you need to have a good range of vertices around the joints, which mine dont and use vertex blending which you cant do in Milkshape (though Im working on something).

It was more a question of "Can I get a model into Source using Milkshape3D?" and the answer is yes, with certain limitations. To be honest it took me about 2 hours to scale and rig my model to the source skeleton but 3 hours to figure out how to convert the textures correctly.

Anyway, it was just an experiment and "proof of concept" and I don't really have much interest in modelling for CS:Sauce but I wanted to get a head start for DoD:S, especially prop models for maps as I want to upgrade and improve some of the ones I made for 1.3.

*ding ding ding*

Or submarines which actuall "float" and can be rocked by an explosion.

Or cars that sit on their suspension when you walk over them or have doors blow open or fall off it you grenade or shoot them. Glass in windscreens that crack and shatter.

Source, just look at glass in CS:S after shooting at it, now imagine it in a better mod with better stuff:eek:

Source mapping requires a massive number of map models, I suspect once DoD Source mapping gets going they'll be coming here asking all of ya to help them out :)

Here you go. I havent done any more too it. Yes, the joints around the shoulders are bad because the model wasnt originally designed for this biped rig and doesnt have vertex weighting or enough detail in the shoulders. As I dont play CS very often I've no reason to make it better anyway :p

while waiting for dod:S (whenever it might be) can someone make a WW2 mod for CS:S? or make HL2 team death match mod and then WW2 mod to it?.The second idea would be harder to do because of small number of weapons in Hl2 DM.CS:S in the other hand would be quite a challange.I don't know how many weapons there's in Cs:S but if someone could make a WW2 models to them then convert some custom PC models from DoD(or make totaly new WW2 CS:S custom models) then convert some custom DoD maps to Cs:S - we could have nice WW2 mod with ragdolls :) while waiting for official DoD:S.I know that buying weapons might be annoying and unrealistic but at least it'd be better than nothing :).Now when SDK is out someone needs just to make 2 PC WW 2 high detailed models for CS:S(CT and T).One map is converted already :) so a 2 more in near feature would be nice :) (since hammer is out someone should make a bunch of converted maps already).Weapons hmm, don't know if allies or axis would have so many automated weapons to fit weapons number in Cs:S,at least we can try :).Think about it guys it would be so great fun while waiting for DoD:S
P.S. custom weapons sounds from ww2 weapons should be there too. (damn what about god damn pistols lol, axis runnig with colt would be not nice heh, and the other weapons are the same for T and CT hmm, maybe there's a way to make restrictions and avoid buying system...dunno :/ )
