What do you think of a map collaboration project?.
Where each person adds to the map in their own way... to make a full map for dod.
I think this Could Work.
:)
Post here if you want to work on the idea
Just thinking about the logistics of this gives me a headache, and I don't even know how to map!
rofl, looking at pics of the scale of the new hammer, just throw all the default maps into 1 big ole map, should be interesting muahahha....

I do it once in a while, depends on the map and scale though.

@ KIllER TOMATO
When would you like to start? my part of the map is done...
just got to figure out a way to send it to you so you can add to it...
Edit: you may need the wad.. which is just all the wads for dod's maps (the ones that come with dod) but it is huge wighting in at 67 mbs...;)

I suggest choosing a small handful of the wads, stick to a theme...as well, if you do it that way it'll just use the standard wads and you won't have to either include the textures in the .bsp or that whole .wad.

A good map is made by a team of 3 persons: a mapper, a modeler, and a texture artist.
Working on common projects is good. Just be sure to pick the right persons, who won't stop until the team has reached the objective. Not easy.
