Hey everyone, I played DOD waaay back in its first form, and just got back in to it. I've loved every minute of it, and me and my friends enjoy the good ole' sturmbot now and again.

That being said, when i came here I was excited to see new maps to play on. Ive downloaded a couple, like Hentaui, but whenever I try to play the map, it tells me Im missing varying .mdl files(I say verying since one is flo_grass.mdl and the other flo_tree.mdl). How do I solve this, or am I completely off on the wrong end?

Just a simple question:

Are you playing Day of Defeat v1.3 through Steam?

I have steam yes, but I haven't been using it since my slow 56k would make internet play useless for me

Then I guess that you are missing those files because they are not in the v1.0 version...

Some recent maps are using models from the latest DoD versions.

I used steam with 56k for steam for about 6 months and had no troubles, just let steam and dod download over night, then you should be ready, choose low ping servers close to you and you should get decent pings of about 180-220.
