splinterīs MG42 reorigined

i bet u all remember Splinterīs MG42 reskin, which obviously is the best out there. the only thing that annoyed me was, that it was belt fed (and the bullet-chain didnt reach to the bottom of the screen). so i just recompiled it with the default anims: http://mitglied.lycos.de/rkruse86/splinterMG42reorig.JPG

anyone interested?

i also thought that it looked weird with the ammo not going off the screen.but it makes it obvious that the "meant to be raised" bit isnt actually raised, only skinned in. looks nice though

well it is neither my skin nor my model (its the default model with grains bullets) i only put the original anims on it. now i only need a host or do i have to contact splinter before releasing a piece of his work?

You do not have to as long as you write his name in the readme file. I would ask him though.

Whenever you decompile/re-compile a model, sometimes the textures get mis-aligned a little bit.

I think your inbox is full, my friend. I tried to reply to your message, but it said your inbox was full and that it would notify you via e-mail.

It would be easier if you save the current reference as a ms3d, then open it up in lithunwrap and adjust the uv map from there

Intifada

what is lithunnwrap? can i use it to create UVmaps from my self-made models, too?
do u have a link?

Andy Whyberd

if u use MS3D select the group then Window then Texture Coordinate Editor then move the Texture till it is no longer screwed and stuff

Intifada

eeerrr, could u tell me which parts are exactly screwed up? i took a look at it in ms3d and it seemed ok, but i didnt know what to look for

They could atleast change the rounds. And the map looks like the default 1.3, as do the world and player models and sprites.

Pretty disappointing if you ask me.
