Fiblahs Bar Skin (High Res)

This Will replace the Day of Defeat Browning Automatic Rifle for the Support Infantry class.
This release features high res 512x512 textures all made by me. There is an alternative black metal butt stock which I have included in this release. Simply open Jeds hlmv click the Textures tab and replace the original.

Quality release as usual Brut. I love your style with your metal. Has a nice "rough" effect applied to it, love all the details aswell. If I still played DOD this is definitely a keeper. Though would've been nice for some if a bar without the handle and bi-pod came with the release, but thats easy to take out myself. Anyways, it's been a long wait for this, but I guess it was well worth it. :)

My only problem with high-res textures on the guns is that they are higher res than the game and its textures, which means it sticks out like a sore thumb rather than blending in with the look of the game.

I really like it but the high-res doesnt match the low-res map textures and models. Im sure it will look much better with dod:source and HL2

As a criticism, it looks like the area around the charging handle isn't skinned, I know it is but the color is off.

The render is exactly what it is.. a rendered picture of a model giving it a specific contrast and lighting to make it look sechs

FOV (Field Of View) is a correction to the HL engine stretching models.... though the current FOV is a bit to much. Default kar feels like a cannon for me, same goes for the BAR. I for one chose non-FOV models over FOV models.

The skin is great on this release, the model however is not. It's feels a to bulky ingame. The bipod for instance looks like they are half of the total weight of the weapon :eek:

If i am right, FOV helps u to see things u shall not see in real. For example, model with bayonets, u see whole bayo, but in real life i doubt u would see so much.
I hope no1 is laughing at me now :D

No, it was quite sensible. The Enfeild has a giant machette sized bayo on the model but what you see is just normal looking.

The devs overdid the FOV in my opinion. Some of the weapon models look so ugly.
