ok... easy task, just take all the actual models off the file, keeping just the hands.

Rofl! I think I may take some custom models, delete the gun models, and save the time of decoding the damn .??? file.

that isnt why, i got the "finger gun" colt and i think its kinda funny :-P so i want all my guns like that :-P i got a friend who could make me real good sounds... BANG BANG BANG into the mic lol

Try the following:
1) Copy null.mdl over the top of your p_model
2) replace all the textures for the gun with transparent ones.

It should keep the hands if you dont skin the hands transparent.
I tried deleting all the groups to the weapons, and it didnt compile, so I am thinking you need to re-model the guns with no polys in them if you want to kill the polys

LOL... well it only really needs to be the first person ones... cause once they fall i would like to know what i am picking up... and it helps to see what wpn the other players are using
