In another horrible abuse of ripent, I've ported de_inferno from Counter-Strike over to DoD. It's an allied deffence map that plays like a CS defusal map. The axis have to take the tnt from spawn and arm the cows before the timer runs out.
None of this work is mine, I can only take credit (or blame) for the entity ripping and horrible victory music.

There are some rough weapon limits in the config file, basically because the k98 is insanely overpowered in CS maps, if you're a server admin you might want to play with those settings.
I'm working on figuring out some elaborate cow explosion sequence, but other than that I'm prettymuch whipping my hands with this one.

Cool ... Nice to see others getting to grips with ripent.
I'd remove the reference to the wads though, all textures are embedded to the map and people will get confused if they try to make their own res file.

I did a version of de_dust with 4 flags and one 2 man capture area (dod_dust, dunno why I renamed it ... but hey), it's one of the most played maps on my server and the most downloaded map from my website ... :kitty:

tomato flame: I prefer or scentences without akward colours or the abuse of or. j/k
I really don't care if people don't want to play it, I did it as an experiment to see how the gameplay would flow in dod. And I guess to show more people what's possible with ripent... power to the players.
If only there was a simple way to define zones from co-ordinates so that more advanced entity editing could be done. One thing these conversions will allways lack is proper spawn protection.

You can only edit brushes and move them, you can't add new brushes (Brushes are called Models in the ent file.)
In Cs maps, you can make the buy_zone a trigger_hurt for the other team. This is if the maps have them, all the official ones seem to.
This is only a simple edit and doesn't combat a sniper spawncamping.
I made my own simple spawn protection plugin for AmxModX, it gives god mode for a few seconds after spawning. It stops the spawn campers in their tracks :D.
