i know alot of you will say "oh, thats a hack and shouldnt be allowed" , well too bad, most servers dont give a *$%? about it. if you think its a "cheat" dont use it, otherwise its here if you want to

I'm sure a lot if not most servers do give a *$%? about it. They just don't have a way of stopping it.

I do not endorse the removal of the black, but I will say this, back during one of the Beta releases, there was a problem with sniper scopes at a certain resolution, and so the dev team allowed us to remove the black for a while for those using that resolution (1200 x 1000 I think)
People complained about it, but I did a test and saw that you could see MORE in 400x300 with the black circle, than 1200x1000 with the black removed, just the way it was coded.

that being said, I think the sniper is just too damn easy as it is now, with their ability to straif with out movement penalties, and the removal of black is not high on my list of "things the snipers should not be able to do". I think the black is more cosmetic than anything, and not realy cause for much alarm.

If a dev team member has said anything different, point me to that thread and I will protest this thread and all other threads that support the removal of the black, and I will delete this reply.

You guys do realize even with black a good sniper will still hand you your ass right? some will say well uh without the black you can see people at the sides of the screen, well i hate to break it to you but a good sniper knows your there regarless of the black.

Scope? The gun scopes? Huh.. learn something new everyday.

Good work on them. Now, how do you change the Sniper Scope crossair? I've got a nightvision filter I've been dying to try out. :D
