I have this question for you:
Why is it that after te first draw animation of the carbine (para) the rest is not shown? When i switch between grenade and carbine it just don't play the fast draw animation. I tried to fix the qc file but when i recompile the model, the changes are overwritten. Any ideas?

In beta 3.1, the carbine did only have the slow animation (the animation which shows the buttstock positioning [sounds dumb, i don't have a better word for this]).
The problem was, that if you threw a nade, it took very long to make your weapon ready (due to the longer animation) and to fire at the enemy. So the DoD Team fixed this with introducing the shorter animation, only the first draw animation at the start of a new round, shows this buttstock thing.
It is possible to change, as you tried. It works. You probably edited the .qc file wrong or something like that.

Thanks for your post KK. That explains a lot. I know that the unfolding anim is only shown the first time you draw. The point is that after you selected a grenade for example, the gun switches back without any anim. It's just there out of the blue. I had a model ones where this para carbine showed me a fastdraw anim. The one that brings up the gun in an unfold status. With allmost every para carbine this anim seems to be missing. I found the sollution ones in the qc file, but i can't recall.
