I use to have the map dod_2fort that worked with steam but like many, I had to reinstall steam after some problems and lost that map.

I can find it on google searches but every version I get won't play on steam so, if ya know where I can get a good copy of it please direct me to it.

dod_2fort? no no no. I think you're thinking of dod_zafod.

I get the same thing with that 2fort. When I create a game it says 'can not open wad file' but all it has is a bsp and a res file in the zip.

Google for the missing wad-file maybe?

These are the wads it uses halflife.wad, decals.wad, dod.wad, mafrica.wad, most likely you do not have the halflife wad and possibly the mafrica wad as the one is custom and the other is standard half-life that is not included in standard dod folder, so look in your dod folder for these and google for them to find them

tempdecal.wad is the only wad file in my /dod folder.

halflife.wad and decals.wad are in your gcf file. If you have halflife installed from steam, it should work.
